Insults are not part of our culture - Ghana FA Capo tells critics

The President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi has told his critics to desist from using 'abusive' words and 'insults' when criticising him.

The FIFA Executive Council member believes disagreements are part of human nature but should be expressed in civil languague.

Football lovers opposed to Ghana FA's refusal to decline StarTimes, the official broadcast partners of the premier league, proposal which has leaved Clubs to move their home matches to designated grounds for quality live coverage.

The outgoing Ghana FA Boss Nyantakyi posted on his facebook page to generate the awareness of the first double header this season - Dawu-based club Dreams FC welcomed Wa All Stars, before Inter Allies from Tema took on Liberty Professionals at the newly built Cape Coast Stadium.

The 1st CAF Vice-President critics launched vicious attack on him when he wrote to promote the first double header in Ghana premier league matchday three last Wednesday.

"2018 Ghana Premier League: The First Double Header today. All Roads lead to Cape Coast."

Nyantakyi was criticized massively by some of his followers who viewed the post.

Some comments to the owner of Wa All Stars post was unpalatable; describing him as a disgraceful to the country's football despite guiding the Nation to three consecutive World Cup - 2006, 2010 and 2014.

But the FA Boss responded by telling his critics to stay away from using uncivilised language when expressing their disagreements on decisions taken by the FA.

"Social media encounters must be governed by decorum and decency. Disagreements are part of human nature. Such disagreements be expressed in civil language. Absolutely NO to disrespect, insults and abuses," Nyantakyi responded bitterly.

"They are not part of our culture as Ghanaians. Lets try to be objective a bit. Seem some are obsessed by hatred but hate doesn't win anything," he added.

The premier league will see another double header on Sunday in the matchday four - Kumasi Sport Stadium will host Asante Kotoko versus Techiman Eleven Wonders at 15:00 GMT before Anyinase-based club Karela United play Ebusua Dwarfs under floodlights.

The same venue will welcome Bechem United from Nana Gyeabour park to host leaders Ashanti Gold on Saturday.
