'C.K Akunnor will find it difficult to conquer Africa' - Ex- Kotoko captain Papa Arko

Former captain of Asante Kotoko, Papa Arko has expressed that C.K Akunnor will find it difficult to conquer Africa following his mandate.

The 1983 CAF champions league winner emphasized on the frequent sacking of coaches since the appointment of the club chairman Kwame Kyei.

C.K Akunnor is Kotoko's seventh coach since the business mogul took over from the club legend Samuel Opoku Nti three seasons ago.

"Current state of Asante Kotoko club will make it difficult for C.K Akunnor to win any major trophy on Africa continent within the shortest possible time," Papa Arko told Atinka FM.

"Frequent sacking of coaches and lack of incentives to the players in Kotoko is the reason the club hasn't win any trophy on Africa continent since 1983," he added.

This comes after the management of Kotoko have task their new coach, Akunnor, to win a trophy in Africa.

The Porcupine Warriors have won the Caf champions league twice in their history.
