WAFU 2017: Winful Cobbinah's strike sends Ghana to semis

The senior home-based national team of Ghana have booked their ticket to next round of the competition following their victory on Saturday evening.
 
Ghana managed to record a 1-0 victory over the eagles of Mali at the Cape Coast Stadium.
 
The Malians frustrated coach Maxwell Konadu charges as the first department of the game ended in a scoreless draw. 
 
Back from recess, the Black Stars mounted pressure on their West African counterpart to grab a lone goal to help them progress to the semi-finals of the tournament.
 
After most of the set-pieces awarded to both sides were wasted in the mid of the game. 
 
Thomas Abbey nearly opened the score for the Black Stars 'B' but his powerful shot was saved by the Malians shots-stopper. 
 
A 74th minute long range shot from Hearts of Oak enforcer Winful Cobbinah handed the Black Stars the victory to make it to the semis of the competition.
 
Ghana are still unbeaten in the ongoing tournament after beating Gambia and Guinea in the early stages.
