MATCH REPORT: Black Starlets stun Columbia in World Cup opener

Ghana recorded their first victory in the ongoing FIFA U17 World Cup after pipping Columbia on Friday morning.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian's side managed to beat Columbia 1-0 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The male 17 national team started the game on a good as the first department ended in a 1-0 victory in favor of them. 
The Colombians nearly grabbed the opener in the 18th minute but Ibrahim Danlad saved the powerful shot from Martinez.
Ghana continued mounting pressure on their opponent as they snatch the lead before recess.
A 39th minute goal from Saqid Ibrahim ended the first half of the game in a 1-0 lead in favor of the Black Starlets.
Back from recess, both side failed to utilize their numerous chances and set-pieces awarded to them in the mid of the game.
Skipper Eric Ayiah could have doubled lead but his shot in the dying embers of the game went wide.
Ghana will battle out with USA in the second group A game.
