Division Two Middle League: Rainbow FC seals promotion into Division One League

A fifty-eight minute thunderbolt strike from the left wing back, Jonny, ensured that the Asewase based side pip Shooting Stars to qualify to the second-tier of Ghana football.
Both teams topped their respective groups of four to play in the final match.
Rainbow FC won all their group games with nine points whiles Shooting Stars had seven points.
Shooting Stars started on a quiet note but their first half goal was whilstled for an offside by the centre referee, Stephen Oduro.
With the fair officiating by the referee cleared all allegations and reports that he (Stephen Oduro)has been bribed by officials of Shooting Stars.
Former African Footballer of the year, Abdul Karim Razak, who was spotted in a red and white Rainbow T-Shirt was seen making phone calls to the bench of Rainbow FC.
Abdul Razak, 61, confirmed to Kickgh.com that he is behind the success of his long serving club.
“The technical team of Rainbow fc always listen to my advice whenever my sevice is needed that is why we were able to win all our group games together with the final game”.
However the ex Asante Kotoko midfielder who watched the game from the media stand lauded the performance of the coaching staff of Rainbow FC.
“I will not take all the praise. The coaches were closer to the team and they were also on the line. But sometimes when you watch a game from afar it's better than being at the dug-out”.
Rainbow FC will play in next year's Zone two of the GN Bank Division One League.
