Division Two Match Report: Sumaila brace propels Densu Rovers to another emphatic win

Another brace from youngster Mikidar Sumaila and a goal a piece from Daniel Donkor and Samuel Agbebo secured an important victory for Densu Rovers in their Eastern Region Division Two League zone four encounter against Ultimate FC.

Both teams started with purpose looking to take control of the game but the home team gained the upper hand as they piled pressure on the away side. The Riversiders created several goal scoring opportunities but failed to find the net as the opponents remained resilient.

The deadlock was broken right on the stroke of half time by the efficient Daniel Donkor who latched on to a long ball from Yaminu Alhassan.

The heavens opened after the break and the Riversiders also doubled their lead in the 50th minute through Mikidar Sumaila. The youngster latched on to defence splitting pass from Matthew Asmah to register his first of the day.

Sumaila completed his brace in the 61st minute nodding in a brilliant cross from the enterprising Prince Bonney as Densu Rovers seized control the duel at St Martins Park.

Densu Rovers with their tails up pushed for a fourth and were duly rewarded when the talented defender Samuel Agbegbo unleashed a spectacular strike from distance in the 79th minute which sailed pass the helpless Ultimate goalkeeper to secure victory for the Nsawam based side.

Rovers travel to Aracom FC for their final fixture of the regular season.
