Player Profile: Meet the skipper of KNUST - Lewis Opoku Agyekum

Lewis Opoku Agyekum is a talented left winger from Kumasi who plays for division two side Future Stars Academy in Ghana. He is in his third season with the club, since joining in 2015. He can play in several roles however loves to operate from the left back.
 
Born on August 11, 1998, the Ghanaian versatile is a left footed defender and extremely energetic.
 
Nowadays, lateral defenders are very important in the fame of football as they are always told to attack their opponent and thus the dynamic defender is always up there making decent crosses which can easily be connected by forwards. Goalkeepers always commit blunder when trying to grasp his ins-wing balls.
 
The hardworking defender has high recognition and reputation when it comes to free kick.
 
Lewis is a third year student and the captain of the Kwame Nkrumah University Science and Technology men's soccer team. He studies painting and sculpture at the University. Lewis Opoku guided his school to clinch the 2016 Ghana Universities Schools Association (GUSA) Games which he emerged as the best defender.
 
Lewis affectionately called 'King Zuba' had stint with third tier clubs like Amazing Football Club, Lucky stars Academy, and Nana Football Club before he joined Future Stars in Kumasi. How he landed with the division two club is puzzling and lurid.
 
Since then, the winger has never looked back and can not be overlooked. He portrays the abilities of Ghanaian and Inter Milan left back Kwadwo Asamoah, in terms of his defensive abilities, dribbling skills and speed level.
 
The 20-year-old would not take too long a time to make his mark on the country's top flight. 
 
Lewis is one of the fewest versatile players in Ghana thus it is worthwhile to have him in your team as he keeps emerging.
 
He makes the KNUST men's soccer team look more dangerous and solid when he has the ball. He is capable of spraying lengthy passes, keeping the game simple, or executing the killer balls that really matter.
 
Lewis Opoku Agyekum looks ready for a premier league club and a bright future to move abroad again.
