Christian Atsu agrees four-year Newcastle deal

Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu has reached agreement with Newcastle United over his permanent move, according to reports in UK.

Sky Sports sources understand the 25-year-old will be signing a four-year deal at St James' Park in the coming days.

The Ghana international is set to complete his £6.2m move to the Magpies from English Premier League champions.

He spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Newcastle and scored five times in 35 appearances as the north-east club won the Sky Bet Championship title to earn promotion to the English top-flight league.

Atsu joined Chelsea from Porto in 2013 but has failed to make an appearance for the London club.

The Black Star has spent his three seasons of his contract on loan at Vitesse, Everton, Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Malaga.
