Ghanaian starlet Alphonso Davies scores his first MLS goal for Vancouver Whitecaps

Ghanaian youngster Alphonso Davies registered his debut goal in the Major League Soccer for Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday night.
Vancouver Whitecaps started their new season with a 2-1 victory over Montreal Impacts at the BC Place Stadium.
The 17-year-old doubled the lead for the home side with a stunning strike in the 71st minute after Kei Ansu Kamara has snatched the opener in the 64th minute.
Italian international Matteo Mancosu grabbed the consolation goal for Montreal Impacts in the 82th minute of the game.
He was replaced by Brek Shea in the 81st minute of the game.
The young forward was born in Ghana at the Budumburan Refugees Camp and traveled to Canada at age five.
He provided one assist in 26 matches for Vancouver Whitecaps in all competition last season.
Davies is eligible to play for Ghana, Liberia and Canada.
