Nana Ampomah scores in Waasland-Beveren home defeat

Ghanaian midfielder Nana Opoku Ampomah grabbed a consolation goal for Waasland-Beveren in the Belgian Pro UEFA Europa League play-off on Friday evening.

Waasland-Beveren suffered a painful 3-1 home defeat to Kortrijk at the Freethiel Stadion.

The visitors opened the floodgate through Jeremy Perbet in the 34th minute before Abdul Ajagun doubled the lead four minutes after recess.

The 23-year-old pulled one back for the Yellow and Blue lads with a brilliant finish in the 52nd minute but Medjon Hoxha's late strike restored the two goal lead for Kortrijk.

He enjoyed the entire duration of the game with a splendid performance.

Ampomah has registered eight (8) goals in his 36 appearances for Waasland-Beveren this season.
