EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian defender Akwasi Frimpong to join Hungarian club Ferencvarosi TC

Serbian giants RedStar Belgrade have reached an agreement with the Hungarian club over the sale of the Ghanaian defender.
 
Ghana international Abraham Akwasi Frimpong is set to complete his switch to Hungarian side Ferencvarosi TC.
 
The 25-year-old joined the Rajko Mitić Stadium from follow Serbian SuperLiga side Napredak Kruševac during the 2017 winter transfer window.
 
The club official statement on his departure reads "Abraham Akwasi Frimpong is on his way to Hungarian club Ferencváros after 17 months at Red Star Belgrade."
 
"He was never first-choice CB, but he gave some solid performances when called upon, notably against Krasondar (H) in a season-defining game. Best of luck, Akwasi!"
 
He made 25 appearances with one goal to his credit during his 17 months stay at Red Star Belgrade.
 
Frimpong is yet to earn an invitation to play for the Black Stars of Ghana.
