Asumah Abubakar parts ways with Willem II

The Dutch top-flight club have announced the departure of the 21-year-old attacker ahead of the new season.
Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II parted ways with Ghana youth star Asumah Abubakar Ankrah after failing to reach an agreement on a contract extension.
The budding talented forward was offered a new two-year deal after his initial contract ended last month.
The club official statement reads "Willem II has not reached an agreement with Asumah Abubakar."
"The 21-year-old attacker joined the Tricolores in 2016 and played 16 official matches in the Premier League. The last year he was struggling with a fibula injury."
"Asumah, thanks for your efforts and good luck in the continuation of your career!"
He spent half of last season in the treatment room as he made sixteen appearances for Willem II during his stay.
Asumah is still eligible to represent Ghana despite playing for the Portugal U19 side in the 2016  UEFA U19 Championship.
