FIFA WOMEN'S U-20 WORLD CUP: We failed to utilize our chances - Yusif Basigi

Ghana U-20 trainer Yusif Basigi has attributed their 4-0 loss to the Netherlands to the chances squandered in the early part of the game.

The Black Princesses were heavily mauled by the Netherlands in their second Group A fixture of the 2018 FIFA Women's U-20 World Cup in France.

The Black Princesses have failed once again to qualify from the group stage following their previous attempts.

However, their coach Yusif Basigi believes his side failed to utilize the chances created.

He added that despite their inability to progress to the next round, they will go all out in their last group match against New Zealand.

"It unfortunately we couldn't utilize the early chances we had. That has really cause us. We could have utilized those opportunities. I think the result could have been different," Yusif Basigi told the media.

"We'll go all out because once we're here (France), we need to make a mark. Definitely, we'll attack to see how best we can play against New Zealand," he added.

The Black Princesses have conceded eight goals in the two matches played at the group stage - they lost 4-1 to France in their opener.
