PREVIEW: ELMINA SHARKS VS ACCRA HEARTS OF OAK- Who needs the points? Sharks to avoid early relegation fight or Hearts to boast their chances of winning the league?

Elmina Sharks waits at home at the Papa Kwesi Nduom Sports Stadium at Edina to welcome Accra Hearts of Oak in their match week nineteen (19) encounter.
Elmina Sharks have already had a lot to worry about in top flight football in their debut season with topsy-turvy performance and results which places them at an uncomfortable position at the second half of the league season.
After starting so well in the season, though they lost their first game of the season against Aduana Stars at the same venue, Elmina Sharks have lost it in getting the results that should place them in a comfortable position after week eighteen (18).
Playing at the Papa Kwesi Nduom Stadium has not been all glittering for the Edina-based club who are entirely greenhorns in the Ghanaian League as they have lost valuable points which has left them between the devil and the deep blue sea in the league season.
Playing Hearts of Oak this afternoon at the comfort of their home looks to be a very herculian task for Elmina Sharks as they face a team that is in a tremendous level of top football performance and have also not been bad travellers this season.
The appointment of Yaw Acheampong as the new head coach of the club to replace coach Kobina Amissah should be a rich source of motivation and inspiration for the club to get the best out of this game against Hearts of Oak.
Elmina Sharks were tough costumers for the "Rainbow" club in the first round at the Accra Sports Stadium and will be looking at that performance to add more resilience and intent this afternoon to get all maximum points against Hearts of Oak.
Less three points for Elmina Sharks will mean a deepen wounds and a further push downward the league ladder which might be determining the faith of the club in this season's league.
On the other hand, Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak has been a different team all together from last season in terms of their performance and determination to get the lost "Phobian Glory" back, even though they are placed third thus far in the league just as they finished last season.
Should they continue to produce good and scintillating performance against struggling Elmina Sharks today, it will cement their faith of winning the league this season away from the known fact of the top level performance of WAFA and Aduana Stars this season who occupy the first and second place on the league log respectively.
All the squad of Accra Hearts of Oak look intact and available to face Sharks except Winful Cobbinah who is with the Black Stars in the USA for a friendly game against Mexico and the U.S.A.
Both Hearts of Oak and Elmina Sharks will be wanting the points for their "selfish" interest in this game: Sharks, to avoid the early relegation fight and possibly avoid it at all and Hearts of Oak, to boast their chances of winning the league after the 2008/2009 season which will make this encounter a very keen and cagey one.
