Orlando Pirates are set to announce the signing of goalkeeper Richard Ofori after reaching an agreement with Maritzburg United over his possible switch.
Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia has confirmed that his outfit has accepted an offer from Pirates for the Black Stars no.1 shot-stopper.
Ofori has been a long-term target of the Orlando Stadium outfit for the past seasons following his explosive performance at Maritzburg United for the past seasons.
"I can now confirm that we've allowed Orlando Pirates to begin talks with Richard Ofori," Kadodia told the media on Tuesday.
"Once the deal is concluded they will make an announcement."
The 26-year-old joined Maritzburg United from Ghana Premier League side Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities FC) after a sterling output in the Ghanaian top-flight league in 2017.
Following his exploits at Maritzburg United, he was named the club's captain last year.
His current contract with Maritzburg United will expire in 2021.
Ofori has capped 15 times for the senior national team of Ghana.
