Reports from South Africa indicate Ngcongca lost control of the stear thereby throwing him out of the car of which he died instantly at the spot where it happened.
The lady who was in the car together with him is not confirmed dead yet but currently at the hospital in a very critical condition.
Anele Ngcongca is known very well by football fans in his country and Africa as a whole featuring 53 times for the South African national team including a World Cup appeaeance in 2010 of which they hosted.
The right-back also enjoyed much of his playing days in Belgium where he featured for KRC Genk from the period of 2007 to 2016 where he won the Belgian Pro league in 2011 and also their League Cup and Super Cup.
Having spent a year loan at French outfit ES Troyes, Ngcongca also featured for KSV Roeselare also in Belgium in 2010
Also, he won the South African Primiership on three occasions in his four year spell with Mamelodi Sundowns including the Nedbank Cup from the period of 2016-2020.
Currently, he was playing for AmaZulu FC in the DSTV Premiership.
