Ghanaians in Northwest African country cheered the Porcupine Warriors after their 1-1 away draw with FC Nouadhibou in the 2020/21 CAF Champions League on Sunday afternoon.


The Ghanaian Community in Mauritania trooped to the Stade Chieka Boidiya to rally behind Coach Maxwell Konadu and his charges against FC Nouadhibou.

The players and officials of the two-time CAF Champions League winners got the loudest cheers after the match.
Goals from Ibrahim Osman for Asante Kotoko and an equalizer by Hemeya Tanjy for Nouadhibou FC all in the first half.
Ibrahim Osman gave Asante Kotoko the early goal in the game at 5 minutes of the game when he latched onto a ball from Emmanuel Gyamfi inside the box to beat the Nouadhibou FC goalkeeper, Drissa Kouyate at the bottom corner of the net.
Nouadhibou broke on an attack and got a dubious penalty kick when a leading ball struck the stomach of defender Mubarik Yusif but referee called that to be a penalty of which Hemeya Tanjy converted to level the scoring on the 22nd minute
