Just last month, the EFA had announced that each team can register five foreign players in the squad, no matter the position, allowing the return of foreign keepers for the first time since 2009.
The decision faced criticism from the coaches all around Egypt as it will hinder the development of the local keepers.
After discussion, the EFA have retracted their decision on Sunday, while still allowing five foreign players in the squad per each team in the Premier League, two in the second division, and one in the third division.
