Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has stated his club gets criticised heavily mostly by the media when they fail to fulfil the salary of their players
The enterprising football administrator speaks for the first since after he was handed a five year ban from football by the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA weeks ago.
The 2019 GFA Presidential Aspirant was engaged in a long interview earlier this morning with Happy FM in Accra, where he's already disclosed that, he's never regretted taking the Kotoko job and also holds no grudge with the current the GFA President, Kurt Okraku.
This administration has gone through lots of criticisms and have been labelled with series of false allegations but the club's CEO believes they are only bashed heavily for failing to honour players salary by media guys, who astonishingly have also not received their monthly allowance for months. He said;
"The only club that gets a lot of media bashes when owing players is Kotoko. Ironically, most of these media guys haven't been paid for months."
The Porcupine Warriors despite losing the league title to their bitterest rivals, are still fighting to secure the second place as they will welcome Elmina Sharks in Obuasi in their final league game of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
