CAF CL: Hearts of Oak face Wydad Athletic Club in the CAF Champions League next round Featured

Hearts of Oak continued with their impressive form commencing their 2021/22 campaign in a grand style after inflicting a 2-0 victory over Guinean outfit Club Industriel de Kamsar at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.

The 'Phobians' came up against a well-organised CI Kamsar side who were very strong at the back but goals from Kofi Kordzi and debutant Salim Adams propelled the host to next round.

 
With this victory, the 2000 conquerors will now face Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club in the next and final round of the prelims with the winner progressing straight to the money zone.
 
The Red Castles are two time champions of this competition with their last win coming in 2017 when they humbled grand masters Al Ahly to the trophy, and have also been consistent in the last years finishing as runners-up in 2019 
 
Hearts of Oak will host the Moroccans in Accra on October 17, with the return encounter coming up in a week time at the Mohammed V Stadium in Cassablanca
