CAF CL: Ghana FA appoint Randy Abbey as leader of delegation for Hearts of Oak’s trip to Morocco Featured

Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Dr Ransford ‘Randy’ Annetey Abbey has been appointed as leader of delegation for Hearts of Oak contingent to Morocco, can reveal.

The Phobians will depart Accra to Casablanca on Thursday at 5pm with an Emirates airline flight.


Hearts of Oak’s contingent will comprise of players, technical and management team members as they travel to the North African country.


Wydad Athletic Club [WAC] will host Hearts of Oak in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on Saturday 23 October, 2021 at the Mohammed V stadium at 19:00 GMT in Casablanca, Morocco. 


The Emperors are trailing on aggregate after losing 1-0 in the first leg tier last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.


Rife reports indicate that CAF has ordered for the game to be played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.
