Cote d’Ivoire shows ‘commitment’ and the stadia are ‘shaping up nicely' ahead of Afcon 2023 - CAF General Secretary

CAF General Secretary, Veron Mosengo-Omba says Cote d’ivoire has shown commitment to host the AFCON with stadia ‘shaping up nicely’ ahead of the AFCON next year.

CAF delegation headed by Mosengo-Omba visited Cote D’ivoire to inspect their preparations towards the next AFCON after the AFCON finals in Cameroon.

The General Secretary says Cote D’ivoire have shown the commitment to host the continents biggest competition after meeting with the Prime Minister, Patrick Achi and Sports Minister, Danho Paulin.
“We are very impressed with the attitude, commitment and the understanding of the people of Cote D’Ivoire. The meeting with both Prime Minister and Sports Minister was a clear indication of this level of commitment.
“There is still a lot of work, we know this, and they know this. But we saw the progress in infrastructure is going well and the stadiums are shaping up nicely,” he said.
The Caf Delegation visited Korhogo, San Pedro and Felix Houphouet-Boigny sites.
