Ghanaian striker Kwame Peprah registered his first-ever CAF Confederation Cup goal for Orlando Pirates in their big win over Royal Leopards.

South African giants Orlando Pirates came from behind to record a 6-2 heavy away win over Royal Leopards in a CAF Confederations Cup group stage match at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday evening.

Leopards shocked the Bucanneers as they raced into an early 2-0 lead. In the fifth minute Happy Jele conceded a corner. The corner was delivered and it was headed out to Mzwandile Mabelesa, who buried the ball from the right side of the box into the bottom right corner.

The lead was doubled just two minutes later when Mancoba Maseko delivered into the box for Thabiso Mokenkoane, who headed into the bottom left corner.

A 20th minute own goal scored by Machawe Dlamini and Bandile Shandu's strike on the 37th minute made it 2-2 for Orlando Pirates before the former King Faisal captain gave them the lead on the stroke of halftime.

Peprah handed Orlando Pirates a 3-2 lead before the break with a powerful header on the 45th minute of the game.

Orlando Pirates continued to exercise their attacking muscles to register three more goals in the second half through Happy Jele, Kabelo Dlamini and Terrence Dzvukamanja.

It was Peprah's superb pass to Terrence Dzvukamanja which sealed their big away win over Royal Leopards in Eswatini.

The win takes Orlando Pirates top of Group B, two points ahead of Al-Ittihad who have played a game less.
