BREAKING NEWS: Asante Kotoko gain walkover in Confederation Cup

The Ghana Premier League giants are through to the next round of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko have gained a walkover to the next stage of the competition after the Cameroonian FA failed to submit a club on the Confederation of African Football deadline day.
The Porcupine Warriors will know their opponent - winner of Kariobanga Sharks of Kenya and Djibouti side ARTA Solar clash - in the round of 16 after the preliminary round which starts on Tuesday.
The CAF official statement reads "Matches #37&38 are cancelled, because the deadline for @FecafootOfficie to confirm the engagement of second rep. for Total CAF Confederation Cup has elapsed."
"Asante Kotoko is therefore qualified to the 1/16th round."
It was earlier reported that the Cameroonian FA have submitted Eding Sports as the rep for the CAF Confederation Cup.
