Kotoko fans must rally behind the team till the end - Ibrahim Sunday

It is an unequivocal fact that fans of Asante Kotoko are not the steadfast type and easily gets frustrated when an away team enjoys possession.

In spite of the above, the former Asante Kotoko maestro who won the club's first ever continental trophy as the skipper in 1970.

He then went on to win the African best player in 1971, entreats the players not to be discomposed by pressure if the going gets tougher.

Coach Ibrahim Sunday was airing his views on the Kumasi based New Mercury FM.

"Most of the players are new to this stage of the competition therefore pressure is bound to set in"

"Now that they have lost their first game, it's most likely the fans will be expecting a win from them playing at home"

"Goals can be scored at any minute of the game and it's the duty of the coaching staff to calm them down and also I will entreat all the fans to rally behind the players till the end"

As a legend of the porcupine warriors Ibrahim Sunday is expectant of a win come 13th of February when Kotoko pay host to Zambian giants Zesco united.
