MATCH REPORT: Nkana FC 3-0 Zesco United - Nkana FC sink Zesco United to move top

Nkana Football Club have whitewashed their country-rival Zesco United by 3-0 in the penultimate round in the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup group stage played on Sunday afternoon at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

Kelvin Kampamba, Ronald Kampamba and and Shadrick Musonda struck second-half goals to dump Zesco United out of the competition and move to the top of the Group C.

It was revenge for Nkana FC, who lost 2-0 to the visitors in the group stage opener.

Nkana FC broke the virginity of the game through Kelvin Kampamba in the 64th minute after a goalless draw in the first half.

Ronald Kampamba made it 2-0 for the homesters in the dying embers of the game.

Nkana FC showed more intent to win the game and got the third goal in the 89 minute through Shadrick Musonda to make it 3-0.

Nkana FC after this triumph are on top of the table with nine points. They play away to Al Hilal in the last group match.

Asante Kotoko will host their Sudanese counterparts Al Hilal as they hope to win and secure qualification into the Quarter-finals of the Confederation Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi at exactly 16:00 GMT.
