Ghana's Shafiu Mumuni sets record at WAFU Cup

The skipper of Ashanti Gold SC has recorded his name in the history books of the WAFU Cup after bagging three goals against Ivory Coast on Tuesday evening.

Ghanaian striker Shafiu Mumuni became the first-ever player to score a hat-trick at the WAFU Cup since its inception.
The Black Star 'B' captain registered his name thrice on the score sheet to ensure Ghana a ticket to the finals of this year's edition of the tournament.
His hat-trick inflicted a 3-1 painful defeat on the Elephants of Ivory Coast in their semi-final encounter at the ongoing tournament in Senegal.
