Razak Abalora wants position secured in the Black Stars

The former WAFA SC netminder has vowed to cement his position in the Black Stars after maiden call-up.

Tanzania based goalkeeper Razak Abalora says he is ready to fight and keep his position in the team after earning a call-up for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.
The 23-year-old has been handed an invitation for Ghana's double header in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
"First of all, let me give thanks to God for my first call-up to the Black Stars. It's a dream come true," Abalora told
"I'm very happy with the invitation to the team. This is the time to do my best for my country.
"It's the dream of every football to cap for his country, I'm very happy for this opportunity.
"I will do everything to maintain my position in the team. Everyone called to the team will be fighting for a spot, so is up to me to work very hard and keep my position in the team.”
He is ranked as one of the best goalkeepers in Africa following his output in the Tanzania Premier League with Azam FC.
Abalora was a key member of the Black Stars 'B' squad before leaving the shores of Ghana to join Azam FC in 2016.
