JUSTICE BLAY: The Pivot To Spur Kotoko On To Victory

Ghana's version of El- Classico and the biggest rivalry match on the Ghanaian soil is scheduled on Sunday, December 22,2019, to honor the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo. It looks as though Sunday's match will be the one to roll out the red carpet for the new season after Anas Aremeyaw Anas blistering work on corruption in the local.

It is inherently difficult to somewhat predict the outcome of these games following the history that revolves it.

However, there certain players who are able to produce rocambolesque or superlative performance to cushion their teams to appreciate victory.

There are a lot of players to watch out for to produce pulchritudinous performances to thrill football fans who will be trooping to Baba Yara Sports stadium.
The likes of Stephen Oduro and Bernard Don Bortey in the early 2000s were Christened as players utterly born for the such games following their sublime touch to such games.

Asante Kotoko striker, Songné Yacouba and Hearts of Oak forward, Joseph Esso are tipped to shine.
But which player gives the home team the byte to huff and puff  enormous pressure on the newly appointed coach Maxwell Konadu?

For Kotoko to step up their game for victory which of course will reignite the supporters love following their disappointing display in both CAF Champions and Confederation competitions is their defensive midfielder, Justice Blay, who as   a matter of necessity needs to work above his usual to give Kotoko the breathier to start new season.

The loaned player from Medeama has been an instant hit in Kotoko and had received a lot of plaudits from the rank and file of the Ghanaian giant.
He may not be a reification of Xavi, Iniesta or Pirlo, but he is blessed with what will make him write his name in the letters of gold in the history books of Asante Kotoko SC.

Blay is a bundle of a talent of his own with exceptional area duels to the core.
A modern center midfielder who never forgets his duties on the field.

Chief Justice as he is affectionately called by Kumasi fans is blessed with accurate short passes on the ground, long passes over the heads of the forwards, and passes to the corner flags for the wingers to exert pressure on the opposing team.

He is able to hold the ball camly and keep it when they are closed down and under pressure.

He is able to receive the ball when he is surrounded by defenders and make the pass that opens the game up once again.

His inexhaustible energy, make it difficult for his opponents to match him to halt him from dazzling on the field.

The workaholic midfielder has the wherewithal to spin passes away beautifully from pressure and switch to the field of play prismatically.

The unassuming yet shrewd midfielder regardless of Kotoko not being able to glitter, he is one of the players supporters will heap praises on him for his stellar performance.

Though there is Emmanuel Gyamfi, Augustine Okrah and Songnè Yacouba, but for Kotoko blossom, the onus probandi lies on the shoulders of Justice Blay.
Coach Kim Grant will need to apply the brakes on him if only he wants to lift the President Cup.

The blockbuster game will definitely live up to expectation with the players available and the men at the dugouts.

Will Coach Maxwell Konadu start resplendently or Kim Grant will appreciate his first win against Kotoko?
