Ghana Premier League outfit Karela United prevent first division side Nzema Kotoko from accessing their new Nana Crosby Awuah Memorial Park and released a statement earlier today to explain their reasons.

The new CAM Park with new astro turf was commissioned by the Ghana National Petroleum Cooperation on November 22, 2020 to be used by the Anyinase-based club due to sponsorship reasons.

In spite of this, second tier outfit and rivals Nzema Kotoko requested to use the same venue to host their home matches in the national division one league which commenced over the weekend but had their decision turned down.
To the reasons, Karela United cited in their release that, they will be unable to hand the venue to Nzema Kotoko with the reason being that, the latter once turned down their offer for the service of their striker Agyenim Boateng at a crucial moment stating they can't sell to their rivals and later transferred the player to another Premier league side Dreams FC.
Again, Karela United also noted that, the new CAM Park still has some problem with regards to their new astro turf since the work done on it wasn't incomplete and will resurface it when the league goes on any long break from now or better still, at the end of the season.
