Ghanaian lower-tier side BAFAG Rainbow Sporting Club have issued a protest to the Ghana Football Association  (GFA) against referee John Kwame Ansah for an unprofessional act.

The Kumasi-based class one referee has affirmed his affiliation to Thunderbolt FC after witnessing the transfer of a player called Raymond Kwakye to Kumasi Experience FC in March 2021.

According to information available to Kickgh.com, the Referee has declared himself as a representative of the Thunderbolt FC in most cases at the Ashanti Regional Football Association (ARFA) for the past five years.

It is stipulated in the laws governing Association Football that no match official shall hold a role or involved directly or indirectly in the day to day administration of a club.

BAFAG Rainbow Sporting Club President, Benjamin Appiahene has officially written to the Ghana Football Association to investigate the class one referee for his unscrupulous activities for the past years.

Referee John Kwame Ansah was spotted at the training grounds of BAFAG Rainbow Sporting Club on Thursday morning, with an attempt to attack the President of BAFAG Rainbow Sporting Club for raising a red flag over him at the country's football governing body.
