The forward of Ghanaian descent has put pen to paper on a fresh term with the Danish third division side, with his new deal set to come to a close next term
Danish-born Ghanaian centre-forward Justin Shaibu has signed a contract extension with Danish 2nd Division side BK Frem, the club have confirmed.
The 27-year-old former Brentford attacker, who joined the Copenhagen-based club during the winter transfer window, has lived up to his expectation during his short-term stay and has now been rewarded with a new deal by the Valby Idrætspark outfit ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
''The football club FREM is pleased to announce that the club has extended the contract with striker Justin Shaibu, so that he will also be found in the FREM jersey in the upcoming season. The agreement ensures that FREM retains one of the team's most dangerous offensive players. Valby is pleased that the 27-year-old striker remains part of the ambitious squad that will fight for promotion,'' an official statement read.
Club's sporting committee member Martin E. Jensen said to his club's official website: ''We are delighted that Justin has chosen to continue at FREM. When he is in top form, he is a constant threat to any team in the league. His offensive qualities are second to none, and he has the ability to decide games single-handedly. We hope he stays injury-free so we can really enjoy his sharpness in front of goal."
Shaibu added: ''I'm super happy to stay at BK FREM. It's a club with something very special - the unity, the culture and the hard work really mean something here. I look forward to continuing the journey with the team and giving everything for the club and the shirt. And together I'm absolutely sure that we will create some fantastic moments this season, especially at Valby Stadium.''
Given his Ghanaian root, he still remains fit to play for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Danish U17, U18 and U20 national youth teams.
