Dr. Kofi Abban Debunks Paying Kotoko Players Salary Arrears

Board member, Dr. Kofi Amoa-Abban, has brushed off news circulating that he has paid off Asante Kotoko players.

News in the local media suggests that Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko is owing its players three months salary. And Business Magnate Kofi Amoah-Abban has stepped in on behalf of the club to settle the debt. 
 
However, Dr. Kofi Amoah-Abban has told Kickgh.com reporters that the story circulating is untrue and doesn't represent the truth. 
 
“I've not paid the players as it is circulating on various social media platforms," Abban said.
 
"Disregard the news because it doesn't represent the truth.”
 
The astute philanthropist on Wednesday donated items like cooking oil, rice, tin tomatoes etc and undisclosed amount of money to Muslim players in Kotoko ahead of Ed Adha on Friday.
