Former Hearts of Oak player named Chelsea coach

The one-time Ghana Premier League champions have confirmed the experienced gaffer as their new head coach ahead of the upcoming season.


Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea have announced the appointment of Michael Hesse Odamten as head coach for their next season's campaign.

Hesse Odamten signed a two-year deal with the Biribes lads after a fruitful negotiations.
He has been appointed as replacement for Randolph Armah who left the club last month
The former Hearts Of Oak player will be assisted at the dugout by Joseph Asare Bediako – who steered the affairs of the club during the cancelled 2019-20 Ghana Premier League season.
Hesse-Odamtten, who was close to joining Hearts Of Oak as assistant trainer, is expected to come to the table with a wealth of experience including a CAF license A certificate to support the technical team of Berekum Chelsea.
He was a coordinator of Aspire Dream Academy in Qatar, a former player of Africa Sports of Ivory Coast and Dragons of Benin.
Hesse Odamten previously had stint with Cheetah FC and Sporting Mirren FC.
