MATCH REPORT: Dreams FC send 'overhyped' Medeama SC to drop zone Featured

Dreams FC continued their impressive output in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season with their maiden win over Medeama SC in their match-week two clash on Sunday.


The ''Still Believe'' lads recorded a 2-1 home victory over the Yellow and Mauves lads at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu.

The first ten minutes of the match looked balanced as both sides possessed with brilliant passes in the middle.
Coach Winfred Dormon's side gained possession to launch fearsome attacks on the visitors which earned them the opener before the quarters of the match.
Former Heart of Oak striker Joseph Esso opened his goal scoring account for the ''Still Believe'' lads with a thunderbolt strike on the 13th minute.
Dreams FC were prevented by the backline of Medeama SC from netting the sceond goal as shots from Agyenim Boateng and Ali Haufiz got blocked.
Goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi denied Eric Kwakwa and Michael Yeboah from scoring with brilliant saves to end the first half in a 1-0 lead in favor of his side.
After the break, newly-signed Kwadwo Asamoah climbed off the bench to score his debut goal for Medeama SC.
Asamoah was introduced as replacement for Michael Yeboah on the 50th minute of the match.
On the 72nd minute, Asamoah levelled the score for Medeama SC with a superb finish as they had been tormenting the backline of Dreams FC with fearsome attacks.
A late spot-kick awarded to Dreams FC was struck firmly by Issah Ibrahim into the back of the net of goalkeeper Ofori Antwi which handed Dreams FC all the needed points at home
