Asamoah Gyan finally made his debut for Legon Cities FC last night in their 0-0 drawn game against Medeama SC in the opening fixture of matchweek three.
Having returned into the league for the first time in 17 years, Gyan said;
'It feels really good to be back home. This is where the brand Asamoah Gyan started.'
The Ghana's all time top scorer furthered on by saying he's doing very well mentally but admitted he will have to work on his physical abilities.
'This is my first time playing after eight months. Mentally, I'm very fine but will have to work extra harder on my physics to maintain stamina.'
On the team's performance, Gyan disclosed he was very impressed with the kind of performance they exhibited last night stating with that same attitude, they are going to win their next game.
'I saw the willingness and attitude to win last night in the eyes of the boys. We were better comparing to our previous performances.'
'I guide them mentally and coach deals with the tactical aspect. Should we continue like we played last Friday night, we will bounce back stronger in our subsequent games.'
Legon Cities FC will travel to Dawu to play Dreams FC in matchweek three of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League
