Oware-Aboagye tipped for vacant deputy Sports Minister role

Management member of Ghana Premier League outfit Berekum Chelsea, Mr. Freduah Christopher has tipped Madama Gifty Oware-Aboagye to be the new deputy for the Youth and Sports Ministry.


The enterprising administrator stated this with his reasons in an interview on Wednesday after he had been quizzed on the recent happenings in our local game.

Reports circulating in the local media read that, current Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah has been relieved off his duties with the President set to name a new minister for the sector in the next few days.
Another reportage tipped the current Member of Parliament for Yagaba/Kubore Constituency, Hon. Mustapha Yussif to be new Minister for Youth and Sports.
With this, the ace football administrator believe Madam Gifty Oware-Aboagye, a politician who also serves as Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, will be a perfect fit for the vacant role due to the experience she has acquired in the game devoid of any gender discrimination.
Madam Gifty Oware-Aboagye is the founder of Berry Ladies, one of the tough sides in the Ghana Women's Premier League where she pay her players monthly salaries to cater for themselves and their family.
Also, she is part of the Board Members of Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea and also Vice Chairperson of the Ghana national female U17 team, Black Maidens.
With this, Mr. Freduah Christopher believe she has seen it all in both men and women football in the country and knows very well the difficulties football administrators in Ghana goes through and will be ever ready to serve when considered.
