MATCH REPORT: WAFA come from behind to trounce Karela United at home

West African Football Academy SC came from a goal down to defeat the league leaders at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena on Wednesday afternoon.


WAFA SC managed to record a 3-1 home victory over Karela United in their match-week 16 clash.

Karela United started the game on a good note as they fired the opener through Kwame Boateng on the 16th minute.
Coach Prosper Narteh's came from behind to end the first half in a 2-1 lead as they staged an intense pressure on the visitors which earned them two goals.
Four minutes later, budding talented forward Augustine Peprah levelled the score for West African Football Academy with a fine strike.
Youngster Andrews Ntim doubled the score for the homesters with his goal on the 29th minute of the game.
Karela United failed to make good use of their few chances created in the last ten minutes of the first half as it ended in a 2-1 win in favor WAFA.
In the second half, WAFA dominated as a spot-kick awarded to them was saved by goalkeeper Yaw Ansah Fufro on 50th minute.
The upfront kept unlocking the defense of Karela United as they were in search for more goals before the final whistle.
