The Black Satellites of Ghana will come face to face with the Hippos of Uganda tonight in the grand finally of the ongoing Total CAF U-20 Championship at the Stade de Olympique in the Mauritanian capital, Nouachott.
The 2009 World champions will look to grind their fourth title as far as this tourney is concern to level up with the Young Pharaohs having won in 1993, 1999 and 2009 whiles the Hippos will also want to win for the first time.
Ghana started on a higher note in the group stages but didn't arrive well having finished as one of the third best in the competition but managed to edge out favourite Cameroon from the competition with a 4-2 win via penalty shootouts.
However, the Satellites also took a huge revenge against Gambia in the semi final relying on Precious Boah's sumptuous free kick to cruise into the final
Meanwhile, having finished on the second position in Group A, Uganda took off Burkina Faso before humiliating Tunisia 4-1 in the semi final thanks to a hatrick from Derrick Kokooza who's currently leading the top scoring chat with five goals.
Heading into the crunchy game, Black Satellites gaffer Karim Zito has stated it is going to be a very tedious task for him and his lads admitting the Ugandas have a very a strong team. He said;
“In Africa now, there are no big names or small names. Each country is improving and we know Uganda will be a tough opponent. They beat Tunisia 4-1 and it was not luck. They played well and we will not underrate them."
