Kotoko's Ibrahim Danlad wins best goalkeeper award at U20 AFCON

The Black Satellites shot-stopper was voted the best goalkeeper of the just ended 2021 U20 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Mauritania.

 
 

Asante Kotoko young goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has been rewarded with the prestigious award for his displays in the tournament.

 
The 18-year-old played an instrumental role in the Black Satellites' triumph of lifting their fourth Africa U20 Cup of Nations title in a tourney staged in Mauritania.
 
Ibrahim kept four clean sheets for Coach Karim Zito's side in the process.
 
A brace from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh helped Ghana to inflict a 2-0 defeat on Uganda to clinch the ultimate for the fourth time after winning it in 1993, 1999 and 2009.
