The management of the Porcupine Warriors are reportedly considering to withdraw from this year's edition of the MTN FA Cup, according to reports in the local media.
Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko are set to pull out of the 2021 MTN FA Cup edition following the injury situation at club.
Majority of the Asante Kotoko playing body have been battling with series of injuries since the commencement of the 2019/20 season.
According to Oyerepa FM, the management of the club led by Nana Yaw Amponsah are currently discussing with the club's board of directors to withdraw from the competition following the injury situation in their fold.
The decision from the management comes following the club's target to clinch the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title to represent the country at the 2021/22 CAF Champions League.
Players such as Emmanuel Keyekeh, Evans Adomako, Richard Senanu, Ibrahim Osman among others have spent several months in the treatment room which has kept them out of action in the club's ongoing season's campaign.
Asante Kotoko currently occupies second position on the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League table with 38 points after match-day 22.
