The senior national team of Ghana will open their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers campaign against the Walia ibex of Ethiopia on Friday evening.

The Black Stars of Ghana will be hoping for a resounding victory over Ethiopia in the Group G opener at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium after missing out in the last mundial.

The all-important fixture between Ghana and Ethiopia will kick off at 19:00GMT (7:00pm) on Friday, September 03, 2021.

Kickgh.com has gathered that Stade Rennais new Kamaldeen Sulemana will be handed a starting berth on the flanks as well as Jeffrey Schlupp who has been absent from the national team for several months.

Reading FC duo Andy Yiadom and Baba Abdul Rahman will form the back line with Daniel Amartey and Alexander Djiku as the central defenders.

It looks likely that Akonnor will be facing the East African nation with 4-4-2 formation, Baba Iddrisu and Mubarak Wakaso will boss the midfield as Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew lead the attack for the Black Stars.
