Coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor will be making changes in his starting line up to battle out with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the match-day two of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed is in pole position of earning a starting berth to make debut appearance for the Black Stars of Ghana against South Africa on Monday.

Mohammed will be replacing Reading FC full-back Andy Yiadom following his unavailablity for the all-important fixture at the FNB Stadium.
Yiadom was among the seven Black Stars players who couldn't travel to South Africa for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers match-day two game due to the country's COVID-19 cases situation which sees them on red list of some European countries like Germany, UK and France.
Mohammed was a key member of Accra Hearts of Oak's double winning squad, the team won the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League title and FA Cup.
He was handed a late Black Stars call-up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup World qualifiers.
