Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo has challenged the current set of players to step up in their next Champions League game against Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club.

The 'Rainbow Club' last week, trumped over Guinean side Club Industriel de Kamsar with a 2-0 victory to cruise into the second and final round of the competition.

However, the 'Phobians' will now square off with two time Africa conquerors Wydad Athletic Club in the next stage, with the winner advancing straight into the 'Money Zone' of the CAF Champions League.

Speaking to Happy FM in Accra, the 'Dribbling Magician' as he is affectionately called, has stated the lost slots for Ghana isn't good and has asked the Hearts of Oak players to offer all they could when they play the Moroccan heavyweights. He said;

'The slots we have lost isn’t good for Ghana football."

"I wasn’t happy only Hearts of Oak is representing Ghana. I hope they will go to Waydad Athletic of Morocco and prove something."

The 2000 African champions will host WAC on October 17 in Accra, before they flew to Cassablanca in a week time for the return encounter at Mohammed V Stadium.
