The Black Stars will seek for nothing but a double scoop over Zimbabwe when they play as guest to them this afternoon at the Harare National Stadium in match-day 4 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana extended their number of wins over the Warriors to four in toal last Saturday after inflicting a 3-1 victory over them in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Kudus Mohammed feeble strike on the 6th minute handed Ghana the lead, coupled with two second half strikes from Thomas Partey and captain Andre Ayew which propelled the team to that resounding win.

However, Saudi Arabia-based Knowledge Musona who also doubles as the team's skipper got the consolation having converted a penalty neatly on the 48th minute.

The Zimbabweans have no victory in the qualifiers so far, losing twice and drawn just one which came against South Africa in their opening game at the same venue and will be heading into today's game with nothing sort of a winning mindset.

Meanwhile, Ghana will want to keep the race on leaders South Africa, whom they are trailing with just a point, and will have to again command all three points this afternoon or make it worse if they slip in Harare and the Bafana Bafana win over Ethiopia in Johannesburg.

TEAM NEWS

Coach Milovan Rajevac is likely not to make any notable changes in his previous line up after that sumptuous display over the weekend with goalkepper Jojo Wollacot likely to be maintained in goal.

The usual backline which saw Daniel Amartey being deployed to the right side of defence is also likely to be spotted again today and will definitely operate together with teenage sensation Abdul Fatawu Issahaku on the same flanks after a confidence and impressive performance in the first leg.

However, the impressive second half output from Iddrisu Baba and Yeni Malatyaspor forward Benjamin Tetteh made a huge impact in the second half and both could be drafted into the starting line up for the crunchy clash today.

On the opposition end, coach Norman Mapeza and his charges head into this game with a huge boost following the return of marksman Khama Billiat who missed the last fixture due to accumulation of cards.

And the unpleasant news is that, right back and Wigan Athletic captain Tenday Darikwa has withdrawn from the squad to attend an emergency family issue in the United Kingdom.

Speaking to the media, skipper Knowledge Musona optimistically states, they have picked all the loopholes in the Ghana team after the first leg and will hit against them on that score today.

"I think we have seen their weaknesses and also we are going to work on the positives that we got from the game."

"So we will try recover as much as possible to prepare for the next game because now we know how they play."
