Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku Pays Courtesy Call On Asantehene Featured

The Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt ES. Okraku has paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace today.

The visit afforded the protagonist of football in Ghana an opportunity to greet the occupant of the Golden Stool for the first time since he was voted as the President of the Ghana Football Association on 25th October, 2019.

 
The 48-year-old former sports journalist was endorsed with 93 votes in the third round after his closest challenger, the former Ghana Football Association vice-president George Afriyie, had conceded defeat.
 
Okraku had won every round against four other candidates before eventually winning the crucial vote to become the 24th president of the Ghana FA.
 
The former Dreams FC Chief Executive Officer was accompanied by GFA Executive Council member, Frederick Acheampong, Chief of Staff of Ghana Football Association, Michael Osekere and Ama Brobbey Williams. 
 
The Ghana Football Association President donated a branded Black Stars jersey to Otumfuo for his unflinching and unremitting support for the Black Stars. 
 
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, admonished Mr. Kurt Okraku to leave a legacy in Ghana football for the next generation to emulate.
