Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Avram Grant says he is elated with his side first victory in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars whipped Uganda in the continental tournament at the Stade de Port Gentil on Tuesday.
Ghana managed to beat the Cranes of Uganda 1-0 through a well converted spot-kick by Andre Ayew.
According to the Israeli gaffer, he is happy with the results despite their poor performance in the second half of the game
"I'm happy with the three points. We could have played better but winning is the most important in tournaments like this" he said during the Post-match press conference.
"We had to take on the pressure in the second half but at the end of the day I am happy.
"Uganda is a very tough team and playing against them is never easy. We got a few chances but we won.
"The second game will be different but there are no easy games in this tournament.
Ghana will face the Eagles of Mali in the next round of the tournament.
