Former Black Stars player, Yaw Preko, says players who want to play in the World Cup should be ready to play in the AFCON Qualifiers.

Ghana has been drawn in Group H of the World Cup in Qatar alongside South Korea, Uruguay and Portugal.

Meanwhile, they've been drawn in Group E of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers together with Central African Republic, Madagascar and Angola.

They've been links about players who are willing to switch nationality to play for Ghana because of the World Cup qualification.

Speaking to Peace FM, Yaw Preko advised that players who want to go to the world cup must play in the AFCON qualifiers.

"We’ve been linked with a lot of players. Those who want to go to the World Cup should be willing to play in the qualifiers. They should send them to the Central African Republic, Angola, and Madagascar," Preko said.

"They want to play at the World Cup but we also need the AFCON and we must qualify first. We can use the qualifiers as preparations for the World Cup.

“Let’s identify the talent we will send to the World Cup and use the qualifiers to prepare them for World Cup."
