Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu has resigned from his role at the Ghana men under 20 national team, per reports in the local media.

Despite being the Phobians head coach, the ex- Medeama gaffer was part of the Black Satellites technical team in the just ended Maurice Revello tournament in France, and was nearing the head coach role since Karim Zito was on his way out.

Speculations has it that, the enterprising tactician was informed by the club's board to choose between the national team and Hearts of Oak, reason behind his stepdown decision.
Accepting to continue with the Black Satellites instead, per our checks would have attracted a $50,000 compensation to the club since he still has a year and half left in his contract.
Samuel Boadu has come under a huge scrutiny in the just-ended season, having failed to defend the league, losing it to their arch rivals Asante Kotoko.
However, he managed to end the season with two trophies thus the President Cup and the FA Cup which has subsequently warranted them a spot in next season's CAF Confederations Cup.
There has been rumours of the Rainbow club looking to jettison Samuel Boadu for Dutch manager Huub Stevens to takeover.
