'I naturalized for Ghana because the people loved me' - Inaki Williams Featured

Spanish-based Inaki Williams has highlighted on some of the main reasons why he opted to finally change his nationality to play for Ghana.


The 28 year old had an opportunity to represent his country of birth Spain only once, and finally decided to represent his parent's native at national level few days ago.

The elite attacker was in the West African country for his ladies alongside his younger brother Nico and were given a very warm reception by Ghanaians who hugely called for their service.
In an interview on TV3, the ex- Spanish youth international disclosed his famous tag in Ghana was really surprising to him since he never expected and added they showed him love, reason he finally chose to play for the Black Stars. 
“The people [in Ghana] told me to play for Black Stars. They say I am a striker and I’m the best."
“They took pictures of me. It’s special for me because in Spain I am very famous but I didn’t know I was famous in Ghana.”
“The pressure is part of football. I have played about 300 games in Spain and the pressure is good for me. Going to the Black Stars. I will enjoy the pressure because this is important for me and my teammates.
His presence will be really malleable to coach Otto Addo heading into the 2022 World Cup which will be held in Qatar later this year.
